Javier Gómez Noya fourth at the Grand Prix of Dunkerke

Gómez Noya did not compete since November of 2015

The five times World Champion Javier Gómez Noya, returned to the competition this Sunday at the Grand Prix of Dunkerker along with his team EC Sartrouville.

This year Noya is focused on getting the Gold medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The Dunkirk test, which was played under sprint distance, started at 4 in the afternoon and achieved a good fourth place (53: 58). The victory has been for the australian Jacob Birtwhistle, followed by Norwegian Kristian Blummendfelt and his teammate the British Jonathan Brownlee

This test has earned Gómez Noya to take contact with the competition before his first Championship on Saturday in the Triathlon European Championship to be held in the city of Lisbon. If he does, it will be his fourth continental title since he has won it in 2007, 2009 and 2012.
