Judith Corachán third at IM 70.3 in Budapest

He has achieved his best international result

 

Spectacular race of the triathlete Judith Corachán  belonging to the club Where is The Limit who just got in the Ironman 70.3 in Budapest thus achieving its best international result and also the best result of a Spanish IM 70.3 in recent years.

Judith made a great swimming segment coming out in second position PRO (3ª of the general) after the British Vanessa Raw who was 30 '' faster than the Catalan one.

After T1 in the first kilometers of cycling Judith took the lead and little by little the advantage over Raw was increased. Meanwhile, from behind, the Irish Eimer Mullan was cutting time with respect to Judith and getting the best cycling partial at the end. In the last kilometers of cycling Judith slows down and was overtaken by Raw who arrived first at T2, followed a minute by Judith. 2 'from the head of the race came Mullan in third position.

During the first 5km of the half marathon, the three-handed imposed at a very fast pace, rolling below 3'50 '' km, Mullan with a little more strength ahead of Corachán. When passing through the 10,5km Judith did it in third position, outscoring in 3'30 '' the Slovakian Alena Stevens and in 5 'to the Austrian Milli Palek. When passing through the km 15,7 Judith managed to maintain the third position.

Finally Eimer Mullan got the victory with a great comeback by bike already in the race on foot, the last kilometers have been very exciting, side by side with the British Vanessa Raw who finished second. In third position came a sensational Judith Corachán, thus achieving its best international result after having worked, fought and deserved podium. Congratulations!!!

In the men's competition the victory was for the New Zealander Terenzo Bozzone who presents his credentials for the 70.3 World Championship where he will arrive in a great state of form. In second place to 7 'the Italian finished Alberto Casadei and third was the South African Matt Trautman.
