Sebastian Kienle and Corine Abraham European Champions Ironman

Kienle broke the test record in 4 minutes. Two Spaniards in the TOP 10

 

 

On the morning of Sunday, the Ironman of Frankfurt was celebrated, where in this edition some of the best triathletes of the world.

 

Sebastian Kienle I finish in first position with a time of 07: 55: 14 followed by the current world champion Frederick Van Lierde (08: 00: 25) and in third position Jan Frodeno that debuted in this distance.

 

The Olympic Champion Jan Frodeno in 2008 I participated for the first time in an Ironman test with a great result, although it would have been better since I spun 2 times and had to change the rear wheel.

 

Jan Frondeno that came out ahead in swimming along with Frederick Van lierde they imposed a strong rhythm on a bike but Kienle 4 left minutes behind, reached the head of the race in the first round coming out of the t2 with 5 minutes ahead of Van Lierde.

 

In the race distances were maintained, where Frodeno got the best part of the race on foot with a time of 2: 43: 14 what served him to get the 3º square in his debut at this distance.

 

Miquel Blanchart who started with options to get his direct qualification for Kona finished eighth, while Iván Gómez It was tenth. Clemente Alonso that was removed by an overload and Carlos López they did not finish the test

 

In the women Corine Abraham got the victory with a time of 8:51:24 followed by Liz Lyle (8: 56: 36) and of Gina Crawford (8: 58: 06) in third position
