The fastest "6 Triathlons" in Spain

We have made a compilation of the medium distance Triathlons of our country.

Now we bring you those that are in our opinion the fastest, especially thanks to the absence of great heights in the cycling sector, which allows the triathletes to go well coupled in their goats ... and fly!

Double Olympic Terres de l'Ebre

Double Olympic Terres de l'Ebre

The only Olympic double of Spain (1), which provides that the segments are a little "more compensated". The swimming is 3000m (two laps of 1500m) on the beach of Sant Carles de Rapitá, in very calm waters.

 Later, cycling consists of 3 turns to a practically flat 30km circuit in the Delta del Ebro, and finally the race on foot runs along the seafront and the port of San Carles.

The swim consists of 1 turn of 1900m in a rectangular circuit, in the Mediterranean Sea, which guarantees calm waters. Afterwards the 90km of cycling are done in a single turn on a motorway closed to traffic, to finish with the 21,1 km of race, divided into 4 turns by the seafront of Salou.

Swimming consists of 1900m in the Santillana reservoir. After swimming, the triathletes must travel 500m of link until the roundabout of Montañero, where one enters a circuit of 26'5km to which the triathletes will have to give 3 turns until completing the 80km.

The race on foot takes place near the reservoir to finish in the main square of Manzanares del Real. Also note that on Saturday 28 May will be an Olympic triathlon and a Cros Triathlon.

Ocean Lava Aranjuez

The competition starts with 1900m on the Tagus River, following the current, it does not have buoys or closed turns, so it will be fast. Subsequently 90km of cycling, divided into two laps 45km on the R4 highway that will be cut to traffic. Lastly, the 2km 10,5 races are on the river bank of the Tagus and the area of ​​the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, where the finish line is located. The 4 Sunday of June Aranjuez will be a party for the triathlon, since there will be 4 competitions: Sprint, Olympic, Half Distance and Ironman distance.

The swim test consists of 1900m and will take place in the waters of Lake Ullibarri-Gamboa, in the heart of the Landa Provincial Park. The 94km cycle route runs through the Alava plains bordering the lake of Ullibarri Gamboa and parallel to the Sierra de Elguea through small towns of great cultural interest. Lastly, the 2km 10,5 laps are on foot, starting and ending in the very heart of the medieval almond of Vitoria-Gasteiz. Also on the same day there is also the classic triathlon of Vitoria away Ironman.

Place: La Manga del Mar Menor (Murcia)

The 1900m of swimming takes place in the calm waters of the Mar Menor. Later the completely flat cycling circuit circulates from La Manga, passing through Playa Hermosa and the Bemoles to the Algar and back through the same place. 2 turns are 45km to total 90km. Finally the race on foot are 2 laps of 10,5 by La Manga, with the beautiful views of having two seas one on each side, the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor.
