Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza on stage at the Hamburg World Series

It will be the second sprint distance test of the WTS season.

 

This weekend is the seventh round of the ITU Triathlon World Series where they travel to the German city of Hamburg. The current leader of the Ranking Fernando Alarza y Mario Mola they will participate in the race looking for a new victory.

Less than a month before the Olympic Games in Rio, the triathletes are finalizing their preparation for the big event, and this weekend may be one of the last tests they can do before the race.

Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza will compete for the first position in the World Ranking, where the Mallorcan has led him in the first 5 tests of the circuit and that in Stockholm Alarza rose to first place and where only 312 points separate them.

As for the race, the Spaniards will have a tough rival in the South African Richard Murray, recent ITU Duathlon World Champion in Avilés who comes to the test in a great state of form. The Mexican will also have to be taken into account Crisanto Grajales, Aaron Royle or the brothers Dmitry e Igor Polyanski among others.

The rest of the Spanish participation will be formed by Vicente Hernández, Antonio Serrat y David Castro.

In the women's race the current leader of the British circuit Jodie Sitmpson and American Gew Jorgensen, which has won all the races that it has competed this year, looks for its 18ª victory in the WTS in are the main favorites to get the victory.

It will also be necessary to take into account Katie Zaferes, Renne Tomlin, Helen Jenkins o Lucy Hall among other. 7 Spaniards will participate in the test Miriam Casillas, Carolina Routier, Anna Godoy, Inés Santiago, Cecilia Santamaría y Carmen Gómez.
