The best Spanish GGEE in Ironman in 2015

In Triathlon News we want to make our little tribute to all the triathletes who have represented Spain throughout 2015 all over the world within the age groups

 

 

 

During these days the final classification of each GGEE within the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 rankings. The triathletes have received a notification from Ironman in case they have obtained the recognition of GOLD, SILVER or BRONZE. To obtain the GOLD a triathlete must be within the 1% of the best of its age group, the SILVER is obtained when it is between the 5% of the best of its group and the BRONZE corresponds to the 10%.

In Triathlon News we want to make our little tribute to all the triathletes that have represented Spain throughout 2015 all over the world within the age groups and have also obtained some of the "medals" in their categories.

The best Spanish in the Ironman 2015 ranking (the only one that has achieved gold) is the Andalusian María Jesús Sierra, who has achieved 12.541 points being also 11ª of the general in his 35-39 group. The 2015 has been an excellent year for the Spanish at Ironman, there was 6 (historical record) Kona Finisher, and for 2016 there are already 4 classified (Esther Leal, Carmen Brahim, Patricia Bueno and Sara Sanchez) so we are sure that this year they will make history again.

Best Spanish GGEE Women in Ironman

In the 18 men's category, it was the triathletes who won the Gold. To highlight the 3 top20 in their age groups Miguel Largo 11º in 18-24, Juan Carlos Galindo 15º in 55-59 e Iván Rodríguez 16º in 35-39.

Own Iván Rodríguez He has also been the Spanish triathlete with the most points, 13375 won in 4 Ironman competitions. Among the Golds, we want to highlight the names of Guillermo Lladó (5 times Kona Finisher) e Iván Álvarez, the best Spanish GGEE in Kona, where 5º in 35-39.

Note: In the case of women we have mentioned all the medalists, but in men only the winners of the gold, since between silvers and bronzes 192 triathletes add, and we could not quote them all one by one.
