Less than 90 days for Challenge Salou

25 professional triathletes have confirmed their participation for Challenge Salou

 

 

Six weeks for the 3th edition of the Challenge Salou, the PROS that have confirmed their presence come to light. 16 Spaniards and athletes from Belgium, the United States, France, Norway, Czech Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland and England.

Challenge Salou, which will be held next 28 in May, has announced the list of professional athletes who will take the start so far and who will try to fight for a part of the 25.000 € pot, score in the world league and / or for a place in the 2017 / 2018 European Championship.

A month and a half of the celebration of the test the athletes to stand out in masculine category are headed by Iñaki Baldellou, current winner of the test, Miquel Blanchart, top 20 in the Ironman World Championship 2015, 3rd in Ironman Barcelona 2016 and with a long list of podiums worldwide, Jan Raphael, current winner of the Challenge Redensburg and Challenge Almere - Amsterdam, Csoke Balazs, top 10 in the past Ironman South Africa and 4rto in the last edition of Challenge Salou, Pablo Dapena, several times gregarious by Javier Gomez Noya and Mario MolaTrevor Wurtele, recent winner of the Ironman 70.3 Campeche in Mexico and bronze in the Ironman 70.3 European Championship in 2016, Emilio Aguayo, Spanish 70.3 Triathlon Champion in 2015, Iván Álvarez, winner of the Marina D'Or Pure Triathlon 226 and the Vitoria Triathlon in addition to being top 20 of its category in the Kona Ironman and Dani Múgica top 5 in Challenge Salou 2016 and top 10 in Challenge Almere - Amsterdam.

In the female category, María Pujol, current Champion of Spain of Medium Distance and Dolça Ollé, Vallense, local hope and also current Champion of Spain, but Long Distance, Simona Krivankova, current Long Distance Champion of the Czech Republic and several podiums on the Challenge Family World Circuit, Catherine Jameson, top 10 in the 2016 Long Distance World Championship and Annah Watkinson, top 5 in the last Ironman of South Africa and third in the Ironman Barcelona 2016 are among the professionals who will fight for the title.

At the level of participation, Challenge Salou 2017 so far has a thousand participants, of which a hundred women, and a representation of 30 countries.
