Miriam Casillas returns to the competition at the Malmö European Cup

Extremaduran triathlete Miriam Casillas and Canary Islands Delioma González will be the Spanish representatives in the Malmö European Cup.

This Saturday 4 of August a new edition of the Cup de Europe de Malmo, Swedish city located in the south of the Scandinavian country, very close to Copenhagen.

The competition will be held under sprint distance, swimming 750 m, on one of the city's channels, where a fast segment is expected in calm waters where presumably it will swim with neoprene.

Subsequently 20 km of cycling, divided in 4 laps of 5 km to a very fast circuit, with very few curves and in a round trip. Finally the competition ends with the 5 km of race to pir, divided into two laps of 2,5 km.

After several months away from the competitions due to injuries, one of the Spanish representatives at the Rio Olympic Games, Miriam Casillas go back to the competition

Miriam herself has told us how she is to face this race: "The truth is that running I'm still not in top form because I haven't been running for a long time, but I'm healthy and I need to pick up my pace, that's the main objective of Malmo after 2 years practically blank with many problems but also a lot of work "in the shadow" that I am sure will bear fruit sooner or later."

 The other Spanish representative will be Delioma González, This year's winner of the Larache Africa Cup.

In the female test the Austrian Sara Vilic is the big favorite, along with Severine Bouchez, the French Margo Garabedian and the Icelandic Edda Hannesdottir. Miriam Casillas y Delioma González will be the Spanish representatives.

As regards the men's competition, the Irish Russell White y Constantine Doherty they are the favorites along with the Belgian Peter Dentenner In this appointment will also be the Valencian Jesus Gomar, that competes in the selection of Georgia.

The women will be the first to compete, the 15: 30 and then the 17: 00 will be the exit for men.
