Miriam Casillas seventh in the Mooloolaba World Cup

Jodie Stimpson has won

Exciting race lived in one of the classic cities of the world triathlon. After the 750m of swimming there has not been any important cut in the T1 with the triathletes arriving very stretched to the transition area ... but after getting on the bike a few meters a group of 10 units where Carolina Routier was found, together with the British Jodie Stimpson, the Australian Emma Moffart and the Swedish Lisa Norden among others.

The 10 were perfectly understood and managed to open about 40 '' of gap in just 5km. In this second group were the other two Spanish, Miriam Casillas and Ainhoa Murua. In the middle of the cycling sector, the difference increased by a few seconds, although in the last 10km of cycling the group agreed to maintain the rhythm and managed to keep the difference around one minute.

Carolina Routier, had to leave the race in the Race on foot

The 10 head to the T2, where a small mistake to leave the helmet makes you lose a few valuable seconds to Carolina, who shortly after starting to leave the competition, let's hope it is nothing serious. From the first strides Jodie Stimpson puts land in the middle and goes alone, followed by Emma Moffatt and Kristen Kasper.

Then the second group arrived at T2, and soon Míriam showed the great day she was having by leaving the first group to run. Ainhoa does it a few seconds behind. Míriam together with Japanese Ueda made a devastating start and after the first 3km of the race on foot they climbed up positions and reached the head at 9 o'clock, just 10 '' behind the 5th. When passing through km 5 Míriam was 7th position that she would not abandon until the finish line.

The final podium was 1st Jodie Stimpson, 2nd Emma Moffatt and 3rd Kristen Kasper. For her part, great result for the Extremaduran triathlete, seventh, which allows her to score valuable points on her way to Rio de Janeiro.

On the other hand Ainhoa Murua finishes in 22ª position. Finally, send many spirits to Carol after his retirement, hopefully it is nothing. As a curiosity highlight the participation of Rachel James the first triathlete of Papua New Guinea in a World Cup, who could not finish the race to be bent by bike.
