Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza look for the double in Cape Town

Mario Mola looks for his third win of the season and Fernando Alarza take another step in the dream of being at the Olympic Games in Rio

The Triathlon World Series reaches the third round of the season and the BH Tri Team is planted in Cape Town ready to repeat the feat of taking the first two places of the podium with the triumph of Mario Mola and the second place of Fernando Alarza how they achieved in Gold Coast.

Mario Mola has started the season with a devastating pace that the rest of rivals can not follow. He has already been awarded the first two notches that have led him to the first step in Abu Dhabi and Gold Coast. The challenge for the BH is to continue his triumphant march and sign a triplet in South African lands in a test that will be played in the sprint mode.

The Spaniard has shown his control and dominance in the two races to stay close to the head in the swimming sector, shoot in the head of the pack on his BH G6 Pro and end up imposing his powerful stride in the final race to teach the dorsal to the rest of competitors who have not found a way to stop Mario Mola.

Looking at the Olympic Games

Fernando Alarza presents a new opportunity to shore up his ticket to the Olympic Games after matching Gold Coast's best place in the World Series, with the silver medal in Australian lands.

The Talaverano has bet on these first four races of the beginning of the year to complete his Olympic dream and is already in the fifth position of the ranking which should be enough to make him the last passport holder to form the TriArmada in Rio.

The race in Cape Town will have the two men of BH as the main candidates to be back in the box, although there will be an outstanding bunch of rivals including Jonathan Brownlee, French Vicent Luis, Luso Joao Silva , the Mexican Cristanto Grajales, Alessandro Fabian or the Spanish Vicente Hernández.

A race more the current champion Javier Gómez Noya will not take part to be focused and oriented to the Olympic test next August in Rio de Janeiro

The men's event can be followed live on 24 Sunday from the 16: 30 on the ITU website, on TVG2 or on our website and social networks.
