The Spanish Grand Prix Cofidis 2016 was born

This circuit will be comprised of three qualifying stages, among which are the Spanish Olympic Triathlon Championship, the Spanish Sprint Triathlon Championship and to which the Grand Final will be added.

Yesterday December 15 has signed in the Sports Council (CSD) the expected project that will join Cofidis and the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) throughout the 2016 season. In this way, Cofidis, a financial institution specialized in granting loans and financing projects, continues to strengthen its firm commitment to sports.

The general director of Cofidis, Juan Sitges, and the president of the FETRI, José Hidalgo, have been in charge of sealing a sponsorship agreement that will create the Spanish Grand Prix Cofidis 2016, a novel circuit that promises to revolutionize the national triathlon. Together with them, the president of the CSD, Miguel Cardenal, has been present at the event, supporting this initiative.

The circuit will give value to the clubs, the elite categories and the Age Groups through several scoring stages, which will lead the triathletes to compete in the best stages of Spanish territory in a vibrant and close race to climb to the top high of the podium.

As a final test, the Great Finel, that as in the Grand Final of the ITU World Series, will award more points to the participants and serve as the end of the party to a spectacular sporting event. In turn, as a result of its commitment to sport during the course of 2016, Cofidis will become the official sponsor of the paratriathlon team, appearing in the kit of the international triathletes on their way to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
