Triber Half Berguedà is born, a medium distance in Berga

TRIBER is the name of the Half Ironman distance triathlon that the Triathlon Berga Club is preparing to give continuity to the Sailfsh Berga, and that it will be held on the 10 September day of 2017.

After the decision of the organizers of the Sailfish Berga to move the test out of Berguedá, the Club Triatló Berga believed that the territory could not let lose a sporting event like this. So, after making various arrangements with the institutions involved (municipalities, Consell Comarcal, Diputació de Barcelona and Generalitat de Catalunya) as well as with companies interested in sponsoring the test, the project has taken shape.

The organization of the TRIBER Half Berguedà contributes to invigorate the area from a sporting, tourist and economic point of view, given the number of triathletes who travel to Berguedà to participate in this event, accompanied by family and friends who take advantage of the occasion to visit this region. The organizers intend to give a integrative character to the test, seeking the commitment and collaboration of the various sports clubs of Berguedà, many of which have already expressed their intention to join the TRIBER.

The test will be held in the Berguedá region, where they will swim in the Baells reservoir, travel 90 km on the bike through the region and finish with a 21 km race on foot through the center of the Location of Berga

In addition to the integrating nature, the TRIBER wants to have a character supportive and committed with the area, for this reason it has decided to donate one euro of each registration to GINKO, the Association of People Affected by Cancer of Berguedà, in order to contribute to its associational purpose. The objective, in this sense, the Triatló Club as a non-profit entity, aims to fulfill year after year its social commitment to collaborate with different Berguedanas entities that have a non-profit purpose and are committed to the territory.
