Nan Oliveras Spanish Triathlon Champion in Altafulla

Altafulla is hosting the Spanish Olympic Distance Triathlon Championship throughout the weekend.

After the female test where Tamara Gómez she was proclaimed Champion of Spain, it was the turn of the boys.

From the beginning he went very fast, being the first to leave the water Victor Benages followed very closely by the leading group.

On the bike a group of 10 units was formed with David Castro, Francesc Godoy, Nan Oliveras, Uxio Abuin, Pablo Dapena or Ricardo Hernández among others. Overtaking the chasing group by 30 seconds, which was reducing the distances until reaching them in the middle of the cycling segment, forming a group of 14 triathletes. This group reached T2 with a considerable advantage over the chasing group. David Castro was the first to go for a run with a slight advantage.

Already in the running race, Nan Oliveras imposed a strong rhythm that helped her to get, in the middle of the race, about 30 seconds ahead of a chasing group of 5 units. In this group were David Castro, Uxio Abuin, Antonio Serrat, Pablo Dapena and Antonio Benito.

In the final part Nan Oliveras it was increasing his advantage to arrive alone to the goal proclaiming himself Champion of Spain with a time of 1: 53: 46, followed by David Castro (1: 54: 10) and of Uxío Abuin (1: 54: 13) in third final position.
