Paula Garcia Godino Duathlon Spain Champion

Paula has achieved a clear victory by reaching the finish line alone

After the victory in the men's category of Uxio Abuin, it was the turn of the girls where at the starting line we could see Paula García, Anna Godoy, Laura Gomez, Anna Flaquer o Claudia Luna champion last year.

The victory was for Paula Garcia Godino who dominated clearly in the race segment, followed in second position by Sara Bonilla and by Davinia Albinyana in third final position.

The female elite started the 5 km of the race run on foot with a front platoon imposing a high rhythm along the two laps of the sector. Immersed in the cycle, García Godino dominated alone at the end of the first round of the 20 km cyclists. The athlete of the CT Diablillos de Rivas agreed to the T2 accumulating a considerable income on the rest of rivals.

A significant advantage that solidified her leadership and allowed her to face the final 2,5 km of the race with comfort, to be crowned champion of Spain elite with a final time of 01: 09: 35. For its part, and after a brilliant comeback in this last stretch of the race, Sara Bonilla entered second more than two minutes from the winner, conquering the runner-up position. While Davinia Albinyana rounded the podium in third place.
