Ricardo Abad completes the Triple Ultraman challenge

The ultrafondista triathlete Skechers Riki Abad completed yesterday one of his toughest challenges that he has faced, the Triple Ultraman, nine days in which he has crossed 30 km swimming, 1. 260 km by bike and 253, 2 km running.

 In this challenge, hto the cities of Pamplona, ​​Barcelona, ​​Valencia and return to Pamplona. The worst "enemy" in these 9 days has been the heat, having to complete much of the routes with temperatures higher than the 40 degrees.  

What was the challenge?

An Ultraman consists of swimming, cycling and walking modes. On the first day of each Ultraman, Riki swam 10Km and will perform 145Km by bike. The second 275Km bike and the last day to complete the Ultraman ran a double marathon, that is, 84'4Km on foot.

It all started the last 30 of July in the Alloz reservoir, where Riki Abad He faced 10 kilometers of swimming followed by 145 km of cycling towards the east of the peninsula. The following day, the 31 of July pedaled for almost 300 km until arriving at Barcelona, ​​where the 1 of August was expecting his first double marathon, 84,4 km of race on foot. Here would have finished his first Ultraman ... but Riki was still missing 6 more days of challenge.

Afterwards, he swam the first 10km of his second Ultraman on Nova Mar Bella Beach to set course for Valencia on two wheels. In the capital of the Turia he made his second double marathon and the next day he started his third Ultraman with 10km swimming in the Patacona Beach. After finishing his last swim of the Triple Ultraman, it was his turn to return to Pamplona ... by bike, and he faced the almost 500km between the capital of Navarre and Valencia. There in Pamplona in your country the challenge of the Triple Ultraman with 84,4 hard kilometers of race finalized.

Today has been one of those days that you can not even explain yourself, that gives even something to tell. Running a double marathon after more than 1.500 kilometers of challenge in 9: 48 does not have much explanation. You can not be happier, I faced the 13 most difficult and demanding days of my life; Ultraman non stop and Triple Ultraman. The support team has always been paramount and a luxury.
