Carolina Routier and Miriam Casillas seek to close the Olympic classification

Double date this weekend in search of points for the Olympic Games in the World Cups of Huatulco (Mexico) and Cagliari (Italy).

Copa el Mundo Huatulco (Mexico

Saturday will be the turn of Miriam Casillas in the hard race of Huatulco that this year returns to be Olympic distance. The cycling segment is the hardest of those that make up the WTS and WC, 8 turns of 5km in which you have to climb a hard slope of 18% in each round. In addition, heat and humidity are expected as always. It is not surprising, as has happened on other occasions, that there are many dropouts in both the men's and women's races.

Miriam Casillas leaves with options in the event, although triathletes like the Ukrainian Yulia Yelistratova, the South African Mari Rabie... and eye also the Canadian Paula Findlay  Surely they will be fighting for victory. In the male category there will be no Spanish representation ... but it will compete under the Brazilian flag Anton Ruanova. The main favorite is the Argentine Gonzalo Tellechea, although a very open race is expected, with several candidates to win.

The favorite maxims are the Czech Frintova and the Olympic runner-up Lisa Norden. The hardness of the circuit may favor a getaway, where Carolina is likely to run and with guarantees to add valuable points.

There will be three other Spaniards in Cagliari, all of them debutants in a World Cup: Camila Alonso, Cecilia Santamaria and Sara Guerrero, at three we send a lot of encouragement.

In the male category the Triarmada will be well represented by David Castro, Nan Oliveras, Antonio Serrat, Emilio Aguayo, Diego Paz and Genis Grau.

The main favorites are Alessando Fabian, Aurelien Raphael and Kristina Blummenfelt ... but we do not rule out that Castro, Oliveras and Serrat may be fighting for top5 positions.
