The next November 18, the European University of Madrid will host the 9 edition of the prestigious NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TRAINING FOR RESISTANCE SPORTS, organized by Sport Training with the collaboration of the European University (EU) and the support of All In Your Mind.

This Symposium is aimed at both trainers and professionals of physical activity and nutrition, as self-taught athletes who seek new resources in training to be able to carry out the practice.

The objectives pursued are based onsurround scientific knowledge to both coaches and athletes, as well as providing an important tool that helps in the training and recycling of sports training professionals.

The content of the conferences is based on research. The professors, of recognized prestige, combine scientific knowledge and experience, offering us new approaches to help in the process of performance improvement.

The lectures that will be given are the following:

Symposium at the European University of Madrid

"NEW TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PLANNING, MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL OF ENDURANCE TRAINING", by Dr. Carlos Sanchis.

The training planning, management and control process is fundamental for endurance performance. Each trainer faces this process in a different way, using the methods and tools that are available to him. In this sense, the appearance of new softwares, APPs and specific online platforms for endurance sports facilitates this process, optimizing the coach's time and revolutionizing their working method.

During the conference, we will analyze the most interesting tools available today, putting in the balance the advantages and disadvantages of using each one of them.

"DETERMINANTS OF PERFORMANCE IN IRONMAN: differences in the application of training among professionals and age groups", by D. Jaime Menéndez de Luarca.

With the popularization of long distance in triathlon, we are witnessing an increasing emphasis on the study of those parameters that can be decisive in performance. It is observed how in practically all cross-country sports, how rest, strength work and high intensity workouts are increasingly weighing on pure volume work.

With this presentation we intend to bring an approach based on experience and science that will expose one of the many possible ways to face Ironman distance training for professionals and for age groups, based on progressive loads, the different intensity possibilities, reverse periodization and emphasis on weak points of the triathlete. The planning of each of the sports will be approached in detail, as well as the planning of the force, detailing specific aspects that can serve as guidance for other types of approaches.

"FUNDAMENTALS ON THE ANALYSIS AND THE CORRECTION OF THE NADO TECHNIQUE IN FREE STYLE", by Mr. Enrique Planelles Marcos.

In this presentation we will explain the basis of our work regarding the analysis and correction of swimming technique, which will lead us to analyze different forms of swimming that are succeeding in the elite (similarities, differences ...), presenting the “Swimming Types ”. In turn, we will explain the process of analyzing it as well as the work philosophy, since Swim Smooth focuses on individualization basing the work on adapting the technique that best suits the profile of each athlete, training each swimmer as an individual athlete, studying their characteristics and guiding them towards the form of swimming that best suits each one of them.

"HOW TO GET THE BEST PERFORMANCE IN TRAINING WITH WOMEN?", By Dr. Alberto García Bataller.

Today we are witnessing a moment in which women's sporting results are one step above those achieved by men; This is undoubtedly due to the fact that women have been fully involved in the sports world of high performance and thanks to administrative and private company support they have achieved the socio-economic stability essential to focus on improving their performance.

Now we must go a step further so that coaches apply training systems and planning models specific to the physiological characteristics of women. Every day the coaches have more female athletes, so it is very important to train in this area. This paper will develop all the physiological characteristics of women and how to take advantage of them to improve their performance.

"POLARIZED TRAINING: APPLICATIONS IN FANS AND HIGH PERFORMANCE", by Dr. Jonathan Esteve-Lanao.

In the last decade, the concept of "strong or soft" training has been popularized against the more classic tendency to train "strong or moderate". The perhaps badly called "kilometers trash" have taken center stage to the point of being considered "essential" to tolerate intense training that makes us improve, acting as "regulators" to provoke adaptations and avoid saturation.

However, this is practically indisputable in top level athletes and dedication, may not be so clear with athletes who train less or have lower level. Through the review of the scientific literature of the last two decades and the presentation of own data, we will present the current state of the matter, so that the audience can obtain their own conclusions

And as a final culmination, a round table with all the speakers, led by Dr. Roberto Cejuela Anta.
