It has happened in IRONMAN Western Australia, where swimming has been suspended due to the presence of a shark of 2 meters and a half.
According to the Australian newspaper Watoday, the test started normally, but shortly after starting the lifeguards, the nearly 2.000 participants were warned to get out of the water as quickly as possible, even about 100 triathletes were evacuated in boats , although at no time did the shark approach the swimmers
Although the organizers received rumors of the presence of sharks in the previous days, they finally made the decision to continue with the test.
