Saleta Castro's 10 Top in the Monterey Ironman 70.3

The Galician triathlete Saleta Castro has obtained the tenth place in the test.

Today was the first test of the triathlon season Saleta Castro, in which it has as objective to look for its classification for Kona, where it has obtained the tenth final place.

The test consisted of 1,9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running. Saleta, who performed a good non-swimming segment, came out in ninth position, later in the cycling sector she was at a high level, with an average of 36 / km hour, which helped her to reach T12 in 2 position.

Already in the 21 km of race on foot, Saleta has achieved one of his best races complementing the sector in a time of 1:27:49 and obtaining the final tenth position with a time of 4:29:38.

The victory has been for Heather Wurtele (4: 08: 12) followed by Camila Pedersen (4: 12: 04) and of Mirinda Carfrae (4: 15: 11) in third position

In the male category, the winner of the test has been Tim Dom (3: 42: 53) followed by Trevor Wurtele (2 3: 43: 53) and of Matt Chrabot (3: 44: 37) occupying the third final position.

With this position Saleta has achieved 110 points in the KPS Ranking that will serve him well in his classification for the World Championship in Kona.
