The Triarmada returns to the charge in Stockholm

The Brownlee brothers and the Frenchman Vicent Luis will not attend the race, so Noya could start his fifth world title.

 

 

This weekend is the eighth and penultimate round of the Triathlon World Series where Javier Gómez Noya could start his fifth world title.

Due to the absence of Alistair Brownlee and from French Vicent Luis, the fight for the world title will stay between Javier Gómez Noya y Mario Mola.

Mario Mola right now is Noya's direct rival, who has a 331-point advantage over the Majorcan. A victory for Mario could put him as leader of the Ranking if Noya does not get a second place. On the other hand, if Noya wins, he could get his fifth world title in this event.

El ITU ranking compels the triathletes to participate in 5 WTS tests of the 9 opposable to score in the World Cup, plus the grand final, so they will be discarded Alistair Brownlee with 3 participations and Vicent Luis 4º classified with 795 disadvantage compared to Noya with 4 participation in WTS races.

As for the race, the Spanish Triarmada led by Javier Gómez Noya, Mario Mola y Fernando Alarza, current 3 top of the ITU World Ranking, are the favorites for the podium of the event where Vicente Hernández y Francesc Godoy they will accompany you.

Some of the triathletes to keep in mind will be the Australian Aaron Royle ,  Anthony PujadesAurelien RaphaelJoao Pereira or Joao Silva among others.

The men's event can be followed live from 15:36 p.m. Spanish time next Saturday, August 23

The next appointment of the WTS will be in Edmonton (Canada) the next 5 in September to finish the season with the grand final in Chicago on the 15 of the same month.
