Near 1.000 triathletes will participate in the Posadas Triathlon.

The XXVII Triathlon Iron Caliphs and the 4th Calima Desafío Posadas will be held on Sunday 23 in August.

Once the XXVII is presented Triathlon Iron Caliphs and IV Calima Challenge Posadas (Córdoba) this Thursday 20 of August to the media, the City Council of Posadas and the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, with its main sponsors at the head Diputación de Córdoba, the Town Councils of Almodóvar del Río, Hornachuelos and Palma del Río, Protection Civil, Coca Cola, Nutrisport, Ciclos Cabello and OF Sport, have been able to notice even more of the tremendous brightness that Posadas has to celebrate in his villa an event of such magnitude.

In the presentation they have been present  Emilio Martinez, Mayor of Posadas; Martín Torralbo, Deputy of Córdoba; Mª Isabel Lucena, councilor of Sports of the City council of Posadas; Rafael Moreno, Delegate of the Cordoban Federation of Triathlon; Antonio Ramirez, Cordoban triathlete winner of an edition of the Iron Caliphs Triathlon, to which they have added:

Martín Torralbo: "We have a test of national character that puts Córdoba on the map. In this 27 edition Diputación de Córdoba continues to support this great test. You are all the protagonists of making this sport even more popular. We encourage all those who love sports to travel to the town of Posadas to see this sporting event and all the events that take place around it "

Emilio Martínez: "For me it is an honor to participate in the presentation of this test. It is a pride to be able to say that Posadas meets its 27 edition, and above all to thank our municipality, because without its citizens today it would not have been possible. A town that takes to the streets, to the volunteers who are a constant lung. A test worth visiting. We call the public to enjoy it, it is an act to which everyone is invited.

Rafael Moreno: “As the mayor says, it is a test that is already established in the national calendar. A sporting event that hosts two tests: Califas de Hierro sprint distance and Calima Media Distancia, the latter living being the Spanish championship and the Andalusian championship, so they are two quite established tests and with a spectacular level of athletes. The entire inhabited area is already waiting for its triathletes, with this also thank the City Council of Almodóvar del Río for its involvement with the swimming area. The test is mounted with the help of several commercial houses of posadas, sports clubs, a total of more than 150 volunteers, civil guard, civil protection, police. I appeal for you to come and see this great test with a total participation of almost 1000 participants.

I am here on behalf of the Montilla Triathlon Club, and being the Andalusian champion in Posadas for 9 years. Being one of the tests that I am most proud of having won. Posadas is a proof of the calendar that for the people of Cordoba is a mandatory appointment and of course marked in red on my calendar "

The XXVII Triathlon Iron Caliphs and IVCalima Challenge Posadas It will be held in the wonderful environment of the Breña de La Breña, being its cycling on the roads of Palma del Río, Hornachuelos and Posadas, and its culminating foot race through the town of Posadas will convert those brave who dare to do the two tests in the supreme challengers of this weekend where the organization also has for these super triathletes a very particular detail.
