The I Triathlon MD and LD Guadiana launches its new website, where we can find all the updated event information.

The next October 20 the first edition of the Triathlon MD and LD Guadiana, that will have its epicenter in the Beach of Island Canela, in the municipal term of Ayamonte (Huelva), next to the mouth of the Guadiana River, the great protagonist of the triathlon and who gives name to the test. The triathletes may choose to compete in Media Distancia (1,9 + 90 + 21,1) or Long Distance (3,8 + 180 + 42,2).

Board Characteristics

The I Triathlon MD and LD of Guadiana is a competition reinvented by lovers of our sport. This test reinvents itself by offering an experience to the unknown athlete so far. Inside of Board Characteristics you can find the basic information of both tests, with schedules and distances.

Circuits

A few days ago in an article published on our website we detailed the circuits of the MD and LD Guadiana Triathlon.

Swimming: It consists of 3.800 m with departure and arrival at Isla Canela Beach. The triathletes will give two rounds to a circuit of 1900m

Cycling: Circuit of 180 kms, After leaving the T1 the triathletes will head towards Ayamonte, continuing towards Villablanca, San Silvestre and Castillejos, where they will turn towards El Granado. Later they will cross the river Guadiana, to train in Portugal until the locality of Mértola and then they will continue until Alcoutim.

At this point the triathletes will continue along the banks of the Guadiana River to Azinhal, where they will cross again to Spain, arriving in Ayamonte and returning to the Isla Canela Beach where the T2 will be located.

Race on foot: It consists of 42 km with beginning on the seafront of Isla Canela, where the 4 laps of 10,5 km will begin with a finish at the Hotel Barceló Isla Canela, the official hotel of the test.

Calendar

The collection of numbers will take place at the Hotel Barceló facilities on Thursday, October 18 from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. and Friday 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m.

Saturday 20 will be the competition, with the departure of the MD Guadiana Triathlon to the 8: 20 and the departure of the LD Guadiana Triathlon to the 8: 40.
