KMO Triathlon opens registration for 2016
The 2016 edition will have a new medium distance test
Following the success of the First Edition of the KM0 Triathlon of the past 27 of September, the company that organizes the event, Annapurna Sport, has announced the definitive date for the celebration of the next edition: the 25 September 2016. On that day, the Triathlon Madrid KM0 Long Distance and as a novelty, next year, the San Lorenzo Triathlon of El Escorial KM0 Media Distancia.
This new version responds to the fact that "from the organization we want to reach a wider audience by offering the possibility of participating in a medium distance triathlon, which will have its goal in the Monastery of El Escorial", says Alfonso Rodríguez de Sadia, creator of the event .
San Lorenzo Triathlon of El Escorial KM0 Media Distancia
In 2016, the first edition of the Medium Distance Triathlon organized by Annapurna will take place. This test will start just like the Madrid Triathlon KM0 of Long Distance in the Pantano de Riosequillo (Buitrago del Lozoya), and will end in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Monastery of El Escorial).
This competition will offer a smaller version of the usual distances of a long distance triathlon, being 1.900m in swimming, 110km in bike and 21,95 km the race on foot.
The San Lorenzo de El Escorial KM0 medium distance was born with the illusion of responding to the request of many triathletes to be able to have a medium distance competition but being faithful to the initial philosophy of KM0 "to visit emblematic places of the Community of Madrid, the ascent by bike to the main ports of the Sierra Norte in an online stage and the KM0 in an emblematic place, says Alfonso Rodríguez de Sadia.

Triathlon Madrid KM0 Long Distance
Once again, next year will be organized the Madrid Triathlon KM0 Long Distance, which as in the previous edition will start in Pantano de Riosequillo (Buitrago del Lozoya) with 3800m in swimming, 171km by bike and 42,195 km the race on foot with goal at the KM0 in Madrid, in the emblematic Puerta del Sol.
