Less than a month for the Pure Triathlon in Marina d'Or

The Long Distance test and the 'Half' will be played on the 24 in October and a day ahead will be a popular 5 kilometers on foot race.

Start the count down. There is only one month left to celebrate the Pure Triathlon by Marina d'Or, a party that goes far beyond sports. In addition to the test of 226 Long Distance and of the one Middle distance (Half 133), to be held at the 24 in October, or the popular race of 5 kilometers, which will take place the day before, the facilities of Marina d'Or will combine sports and commitment of solidarity as never before had been possible to get around an event that will bring together 800 participants.

Pure Triathlon has a commitment to people in its DNA, so it will take advantage of the importance and impact of the sporting event to collaborate with various non-profit projects in its crusade against diseases and the search for resources to help the less favored. Yes whit cancer, #IMheart against fibromyalgia, Team White, Fundación Ricardo Abad and DT1 Team against diabetes, led by Jon Karro, are some of those charitable initiatives that will be very present in the spectacular facilities of Marina d'Or.

The Pure Triathlon universe will begin on Thursday, October's 22, with the opening of the Expo area, where brands, sponsors and solidarity projects will have their space. On 23 day, in the afternoon, a popular race of 5 kilometers will be held, aimed at triathletes, family members and the general public in the Castellón area to feel part of the event. The test will cover a section of the circuit that will one day later host part of the sector of the race on foot.

On 24 day, the two big events will be held: 226 Long Distance and Half 113. The tests will have a route that has made the most of the multiple climatic, landscape and orography advantages offered by the Castellón coast.

The swimming area will have as its scenario the beach located in front of the Marina d'Or complex, the neuralgic center of the competition. The triathletes must complete a lap over a distance of 3.800 meters in the full waters of the Mediterranean.

We expect more than 800 registered in total for some tests with a spectacular layout around the Castellón coast.

The cycling sector will have a small section of link and an ascent to a port of 7 kilometers, to then make the rest of the route in a circuit in which the triathletes can be coupled and without changing the position. The participants of the Long Distance will give three laps to this route, by one of the middle distance triathletes. The organization insists that it will ensure the non-existence of drafting among competitors.

In the running sector, the triathletes will cross a circuit that runs practically parallel to the seashore and whose profile goes slightly upwards. The triathletes of the Long Distance will have to travel three times this attractive route to complete the 42 kilometers, while those of the 'Half' will give one less lap.

Gifts and Prizes

Pure Triathlon Marina d'Or will give those enrolled in the tests that stay at least one night on a half-board basis at any of the hotels in Marina d'Or a Rudy Project Wingspan helmet, the most revolutionary model on the market, valued at around 200 euros. Never before had an action of this caliber been carried out by the organization of a race, with the exception of the Ironman World Championship in Kona.

Also, Pure Triathlon Marina d'Or will distribute 12.000 euros in cash among the top ten classified in each of the categories, male and female, in which the competition will take place. The absolute winners will receive 2.5000 euros each. For the runners-up, the bonus will be 1.500 euros, while the third-classified will receive 575. The triathletes who finish the race in fourth position will receive 450 euros; 350 the fifths; 250 the sixth and so on until the 100 that will take those who occupy the tenth position, both men and women.

Comfort

One of the main attractions of the tour, both for the companions and for the triathletes themselves, is that all the circuits are concentrated in a small space, just three minutes from the accommodation centers of Marina d'Or. This data is important for athletes, who are freed from the stress of other competitions, and for their relatives, who, without moving from a relatively small radius of action, can follow the evolution of their triathlete. 

Pure Triathlon Marina d'Or is conceived, in addition to being a sporting event, as a global experience for both the participants and their companions. Partners, children and friends have an important support role in challenges as complex as ours, and for this reason a series of activities and plans have been created designed for those people who will be the great support point of triathletes before, during and after the race.
