Uxío Abuín Champion of the 2017 European Cup and third in Melilla

The Galician has managed to get on the podium in 7 this season with 2 victories.

Today it has been played in the city of Melilla, Triathlon European Cup, last appointment of the European circuit where Uxío Abuín has achieved the third position and the victory in the final ranking getting the European title.

The victory in the race was for the Belgian Jelle Geens followed by French Raphael Montoya and for the Spanish Uxío Abuín occupying the third final position. As for the rest of Spanish Antonio Benito it has been fifth, Ricardo Hernández 12º, Kevin Tarek 18º, Héctor Arévalo 23º, Guillermo Cuchillo 26º, Mikel Ugarte 27º and Andres Cendán 28o.

Uxío Abuín is finishing the season with a great state of form, already got the victory last week in the World Cup of Weihai, the third place in Huelva, the victory in the European Cup of Altafulla, second in the European Cup of Quarteira, bronze in the European Cup of Gran Canaria

As for the girls, the winner was the Czech Vendula Frintova, followed by the Russian Anastasia Abrosimova and the Belgian Claire Michel,. As for the Spanish, the best classified has been Inés Santiago in eleventh position and Cecilia Santamaria in the 13º.
