Uxío Abuín third in the World Cup of Huelva

4 Spanish in the Top 10 of the test.

Today it has been played in the city of Huelva la Triathlon World Cup where the Czech Vendula Frintova and the German Justus Nieschlag they have achieved victory

 

The tour, which has gone through a privileged natural environment and great beauty, and the historic center of the capital, has made even more enjoyable the triathletes, and the public that has come to follow the competition live. Andalusia, and the province of Huelva in particular, have once again demonstrated the ability to organize high-level sporting events, events that also have a remarkable tourist and economic return.

The swimming segment was held in Punta Umbría. The triathletes had to swim two laps around a circuit of 750 meters on the Puntaumbrine beach, and once finished they went to the zone of the first transition to change and start the bicycle segment.

The first part of the bicycle route was 20,5 km before passing through the second transition for the first time. Once in the capital of Huelva, the triathletes made four laps to a circuit of 5,1 km, very technical and with some hills, especially on the Cuesta de las Tres Caídas. The race on foot ran through a circuit of 2,5 km through the historic center of Huelva, which the triathletes had to do four laps. The finish line was located in the Plaza de la Constitución.

In the women's event, the winner was the Czech Vendula Frintova with a time of 02: 01: 14 followed by Joanna Brown (02: 01: 50) and by the North American Chelsea Burns (2:02:03) occupying the third final place.
As for the Spanish  Sara Perez It has been 11ª, Anna Godoy 12ª, Ana Mariblanca 19ª, Inés Santiago 20º, Melina Alonso 23ª e Ibone Sánchez ª 24

In the male test the German Justus Nieschlag  has won the victory followed by the American Kevin McDowell and for the Spanish Uxío Abuin that has occupied the third final position with a great comeback to run on foot. Vicente Hernández it was sixth, Antonio Benito eighth with the best running record, Antonio Serrat noven and  Kevin Tarek eleventh.
