Valencia 2016 Triathlon will distribute 12.000 € in prizes in Olympic distance

This year's edition of Valencia Triathlon will be held at the 10 and 11 in September and bet on a new project that includes cash prizes for individual winners and Olympic distance clubs. There will also be a special prize for the club with more finalists in goal.

 

In 2016, Valencia Triathlon It celebrates its twentieth edition and to celebrate it launches many novelties for athletes, which includes 12.000 € in Olympic distance prizes, a reduction in prices compared to the last editions, expansion of the women's triathlon to 400 seats and improvement of the services for all participants, both in the competition zones and in the triathlete's bag.

A total of 3500 triathletes will enjoy Valencia Triathlon in two days of competition.

Saturday will be the competition of the most popular distances. 400 women will live the experience of participating in the women's triathlon, 350 athletes will do it in the supersprint distance male and 1000 in the sprint test.

 

On Sunday it will be the turn for 1750 triathletes who will compete in Olympic distance touring 1500 meters of swimming, 40 km of cycling along the most emblematic places of Valencia such as the Royal Navy, the Formula 1 circuit and the City of Sciences; and 10 km of foot race that are developed by the environment of Marina Real between the spirits of more than 18.000 spectators that motivate all athletes to achieve the goal of reaching the goal, located in the spectacular Building of Veles e Vents.

 

The 12.000 € in prizes destined for Sunday's competition will be distributed as follows:

Individual

• First classified male and female 1400 €
• Second classified male and female 800 €
• Third classified male and female 400 €
• Fourth classified male and female 200 €
• Fifth ranked male and female 100 €

Clubs

• First male / female club 1400 €
• Second male / female club 800 €
• Third club male / female 400 €

* For the prizes of clubs the sum of the best triathletes of each club will be considered, in the case of the female will compute 4 times and for male will compute 8 time.

In addition, a € 1000 special prize to the club with the highest number of finishers in goal adding both its male and female components.

Valencia Triathlon was born in 1992 and celebrated 4 editions until 1995, later the 2000 test was recovered until 2003 to continue in 2005 until this twentieth edition of 2016. At 2010, thanks to the collaboration of the Triathlon Federation and the City Council of Valencia, the competition moved to the surroundings of Marina Real, a unique location for triathlon and offering the possibility of competing in spectacular circuits where participants and spectators enjoy the Test during a full weekend of triathlon.

Valencia Triathlon 2016 presents a new organizational project in charge of the Triathlon Federation that will communicate more improvements and news soon, all of them aimed at the participating athletes themselves.
