The Marina of Valencia receives more than 1.400 popular triathletes

The Olympic distance and sprint open competitions open Valencia Triathlon 2017.

At the 7.30 in the morning the first triathletes of the Olympic competition took the start. 790 men and women were getting ready to enjoy the weekend distance of the weekend, swimming 1500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers by bike and 10 kilometers running. More than eighty percent of the participation has been popular.

The first triathlete to cross the finish line has been David Aguilera, from the Valencian club Tricanet de Berenguer, stopping the clock in 02: 08: 57. One minute later José Olmos, from the CT Laboratory SYS, has arrived in second position with a time of 02: 09: 21. The triathlete who has closed the podium has been José Luis Gambacorta, of the Bifit Ibiza Triathlon, stopping the chrono in 02: 10: 52.

At the top of the women's podium Olympic distance has risen Rocío Marín, popular triathlete, who has entered the finish line in 02: 29: 20. Followed closely by the triathlete of the Tuc Triathlon Alice Guillemot, who has stopped the clock in 02: 34: 27. The third classified has been the triathlete of the Valencian club Trivu Isabel House, reaching the goal in 02: 36: 27.

From the 9 in the morning have taken the 690 triathletes over the sprint distance. Many of them debutants have thrown themselves into the water to travel 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers by bicycle and 5 kilometers of running.

The men's podium has been taken by the triathletes of the Valencian club Tripuçol. The first to cross the finish line has been Quique Estarlich, who has stopped the clock in 01: 05: 13, followed by his teammate Adrián Saez, that has reached the goal in 01: 08: 17. The third triathlete to reach the finish line has been Arnau Rosaleny with a time of 01: 09: 05.

In the women's competition the triathlete of the Vall d'Uixó Yaiza Saiz has been the winner, stopping the clock in 01: 13: 22. Ana Almer of the University of Alicante has achieved the second position stopping the clock in 01: 16: 00. In third position the triathlete reached the finish line Essie Amery.

Formula 1 circuit rider segment

From the first hour of the morning the Marina of Valencia has been filled with triathletes to enjoy the Valencia Triathlon one more year. The swimming has embroidered the dock of the port to go out to the transition by the sailing school. The old circuit of the formula 1 has been the chosen route to dispute the different kilometers of cycling. Through the dock of the port have been able to run more than 1400 particpantes, to enter the finish line in an incomparable setting located under the natural wooden harrow that is in the Mariana de Valencia.

The Veles e Vents building has been for the public a balcony where you can enjoy the three segments that make up the triathlon, thus fulfilling one of the objectives of the new circuits.

The goal has been one of the most exciting points of the morning, where we have seen smiles, hugs, tears, all caused by the illusion of goals and objectives met.

A morning session dedicated to popular competition, the main protagonists of a weekend loaded with triathlon.

The competition will continue today with the Spanish Paratriathlon and Age Groups Championship. For the day of Sunday there will be the Open Supersprint distance tests, in which almost 500 women will compete in the women's triathlon. Afterwards, those in charge of closing the Valencia Triathlon will be the elite that will fight for the national title.
