The favorite Valencian triathletes in the XXVI Triathlon of Fuente Álamo

This year highlights the absence of many trilateta due to the European Championships or their preparation for the Olympic Games

Tomorrow, Saturday, a new edition will be held, and now 26, of the National Triathlon Villa de Fuente Alamo. "The Triathlon of the Triathletes" as it is also known is one of the highest level competitions that are held in Spain, although this year many of the great triathletes will not be able to participate when they coincide with the European Championship or because they are fully prepared of the JJ.OO.

The test consists of 750m in Puerto de Mazarrón, then 24km of cycling, with the ascent to the port of "Alto de la Cuesta" until arriving at Fuente Álamo, where the triathletes will walk 5km on foot, divided in 2 turns of 2,5km with the streets Crowded with cheering public.

In the men's category, the Valencians are the favorites, Emilio Aguayo Last year's winner, who has not yet been able to shine this year, starts with the number 1 as the 2015 winner. Jesús Gomar y Roberto Sánchez from the University of Alicante will be fighting for the podium. The fourth "Valencian" favorite to victory is Ramón Ejeda (Valencian of adoption after living several years in Canet d'en Berenguer, where he was one of the founders of the TriCanet club).

With regard to the women's competition, everything seems to indicate that it will be a heads-up between Marina Damlaimcourt y María Ortega, although both do not reach the 100%, with the class they have normal is that both fight for victory. On the other hand Natasha Rabinowitz is one of the candidates to close the podium, like the junior Sara Guerrero, (who also comes a bit touched after suffering a hard blow to the nose last week in the Spanish Relay Championship) that is facing a great opportunity to get a great result.
