Víctor del Corral and Roger Serrano for the XTERRA Malta

This Sunday the XTERRA European Tour 2018 begins with the celebration of XTERRA Malta, where two Spaniards will compete in the elite category, Víctor del Corral and Roger Serrano

Victor del Corral go back to the circuit XTERRA after a few seasons more focused on Ironman distance races, while Roger Serrano defends the triumph achieved last year. 

Last season Rubén Ruzafa He was the winner of the XTERRA European Tour, achieving seven wins and a second place in the competitions he made. While Roger Serrano was the other Spanish top10, finishing in eighth place. 

El XTERRA Malta will dispute in the natural reserve of Majjistral. Swimming will take place in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, and later both the cycling segment and the foot race run along paths and cliffs glued to the coast.  

Victor and Roger aim for everything in Malta, in a test where in addition to the two Spanish are also favorites to win the French Francois Carloni, the Swiss Xavier Dafflon and the Portuguese Rui Dolores, 3º, 4º and 5º last year in the final general of XTERRA European Tour. 

In the female category, the favorites are the Czech Helena Erbenova, the Belgian Ine Couckuyt and the Danish Maud Golsteyn.

The competition will start on 15 Sunday of April the 9 of the morning.
