The Challenge Madrid circuits

Last week I introduce myself Challenge Madrid officially, long distance test in Madrid, which will be played next 24 September 2017

Swimming 3,8 km

75 Kilometers from the capital, surrounded by holm oaks, oak groves and pine forests, located in the Lozoya Valley and in the middle of the Sierra Norte, is one of the most charming and attractive Madrid towns, Buitrago del Lozoya.

The distance to be covered by the triathletes in the Reservoir of Riosequillo in Buitrago de Lozoya will be of 3.800 meters. In this installation, the T1 will be assembled, a transition place from where the bicycle test will start.

Cycling 180 km

The bike test in addition to recovering wonderful sites of the Sierra Madrileña, also recovers the famous return to the ports with the ascents of Canencia, Morcuera and Cotos. In general, the 180 Km will visit the following places:

Departure from the Pools of the Canal de Isabel II in Buitrago de Lozoya, passing through Villavieja de Lozoya (km 6); San Mames (km 9,9); Choker (km 13,7); Canencia town (km 22,8); Port of Canencia (km 32,3); Miraflores de la Sierra (km 38,4); Port of Morcuera (km 49,1); Rascafria (km 63,4); Puerto de Cotos (Km 79,9); Puerto Navacerrada (km 86,4); Ventorrillo Fountain; El Escorial; Valdemorillo; Villanueva de la Cañada; to enter Madrid by the M-508 and cross the Casa de Campo until you reach the Explanada del Rey in Madrid Río.

At the Explanada del Rey in Madrid Río, the T2 will be assembled, a place of transition from where the Marathon test will start.

Walking race 42,195 km

The triathletes will have to travel a total of 42 Km and 195 meters.

After leaving the bicycle in the Explanada del Rey in Madrid Río will go in the direction of the river area and that is where they will have to do the kilometers of the race on foot. The route is 5 laps and two transitions that runs almost entirely by "Madrid Río". In its final, in the last transition, the foot race will go up the Cuesta de la Vega to join the main street and enter the Puerta del Sol for its arrival at "Km 0", where the Meta will be located.
