The goal of WelcomeAthletes is to offer a free and friendly accommodation alternative for athletes.

WelcomeAthletes.com is the first hosting service network which connects athletes looking for a place to stay during their sporting events, where other athletes offer accommodation as a sign of cordiality, at no cost. Their mission is to contribute to achieving greater access to sports for the entire community, with fewer financial setbacks.

The service is available worldwide from the 1 of August of 2017.

How It Works

The members registered for free on the platform they will have to create a profile where they define themselves as athletes or hosts.

The athletes will look for accommodation according to parameters such as the area, the date and other criteria (private room, non-smoking area, storage of available equipment, etc.). Athletes and hosts can discuss all issues they consider through a platform-specific messaging service.

The hosts do not receive any financial compensation for hosting the athletes, but decide to join WelcomeAthletes to support the sports community and facilitate the success of local competitions- WelcomeAthletes will reward the hosts with special gifts provided by the sponsors.

Who created it?

Alexandre Chanay (France) and Frederica Bérbué (Canada), a couple of "thirty and many". They live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They appreciate the sport and their desire to create WelcomeAthletes it is based on one's experience. Finding accommodations when traveling for a competition is complicated (due to cost, availability, quality of service, etc.).

For this reason they decided to launch a service that will make a difference for athletes, since it has been designed by them.
