Aleix Espargaró joins Verona, Fraile, Oyarbide and Pasamontes

Among the confirmed participants will be Aleix Espargaró , a pilot and renowned cycling enthusiast, along with Carlos Verona, Omar Fraile, Lourdes Oyarbide and Luis Pasamontes.

Verona, Oyarbide and Pasamontes are already familiar with the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote from previous editions, while Fraile and Espargaró join this year's group of prominent names announced by the organization.

The format allows amateur cyclists to share a good part of the route with athletes who have competed at the highest level, within a race that prioritizes group cycling over a conventional general classification.

Two stages and 189 kilometers through Lanzarote

The first stage will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, covering 115 kilometers between Club La Santa and Puerto del Carmen. The route will pass through areas such as Famara, Haría, Mirador del Río, Costa Teguise, Arrecife, and La Geria.

One of the sporting highlights of the day will be the climb from Haría to Mirador del Río , with 8,5 kilometers and 310 meters of positive elevation gain.

On Sunday, October 4, another 74 kilometers will be completed from Puerto del Carmen to Club La Santa, passing through La Geria, Femés, Playa Blanca, Yaiza, Timanfaya, Mancha Blanca and Tinajo.

The second day will include two more time trials: Las Casitas-Femés , 5,3 kilometers long with 170 meters of elevation gain, and the section between Timanfaya and Mancha Blanca, 12,7 kilometers long with 220 meters of elevation gain.

A charity section will reward riding in a group.

One of the new features of this edition will be the section that the organization presents in its statement as the "Gregorian Section" , located after the Guayo Rodríguez Regrouping at the Castle of San José.

With Luis Pasamontes as the initiative's patron, Club La Santa will make a contribution to a charitable cause, the amount of which will increase depending on the degree of compactness with which the peloton completes this sector.

The final registration period begins on September 23rd

Registration for the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote 2026 will remain open until September 29 at 23:59 CET , unless places are sold out before then.

From September 23rd, the final price tier will come into effect: 170 euros for both stages and 90 euros for those participating in only one of them.

Triathlon News also maintains an active raffle, in collaboration with Club La Santa, for a bib number for the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote , which the winner can use in the 2026 edition or reserve for 2027.

The event can also be followed via the Club La Santa YouTube channel.

The third edition will thus arrive on the first weekend of October with two days, three timed sectors and a format that will allow participants to share the road with several well-known names in cycling and Spanish sport.
