Froome and Contador meet again in a virtual cycling competition
Next Monday, November 25th at 18:30 CET, the cyclists Alberto counter y Chris Froome, two of the great legends of world cycling, will meet again in a unique virtual cycling event, riding on a stage of the Virtual Giro d'Italia 2024 on the BKOOL platform.
This special Group Ride, which promises to revive one of the most iconic rivalries in modern cycling, is open to participation by any amateur cyclist who wishes to join from home.
BKOOL, known for its virtual cycling simulator, invites all fans to be part of this unique experience.
With just a smart cycling trainer or a Smart Bike, those interested can ride alongside these two titans of cycling, recalling some of the legendary battles that marked their professional careers.
Angel Luis Fernandez, Head of Marketing at BKOOL, has described it as “the most important event in the history of BKOOL and of all virtual cycling”.
A legendary confrontation from home
The event will be open to all cyclists who wish to participate from their homes for free.
BKOOL offers a 30-day trial on its platform to make it easier for anyone to participate in this historic Group Ride.
In addition, the event will be broadcast live via Instagram LIVE on the profiles of Alberto counter, Chris Froome and on BKOOL's social networks, allowing all fans to follow the competition.
Instead of their teams, it will be the fans who will be part of the peloton, giving a completely different twist to what we are used to seeing from these two cycling giants.
How to join the event
The Group Ride will take place on a stage of the Virtual Giro d'Italia 2024, an unprecedented competition for both cyclists, who had never competed in the Corsa Rosa.
Fans wishing to join will only need a compatible device and a login to the BKOOL platform on Monday at 18:30 CET.
- Sign in www.bkool.com and download BKOOL Cycling on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
- Within the LIVE section, you will find the featured session with a Group Ride tag. You can also access the session by entering the Group Ride card from the first carousel of the simulator.
- Please arrive on time and take advantage of the warm-up to prepare yourself (18h30 – 18h40 CET).
- The session will be available in the BKOOL LIVE section a few minutes before it starts, so you can take it easy, enjoy the warm-up and get ready to be part of this event that will go down in cycling history!
