The cyclist Julian Alaphilippe  yesterday suffered a terrible fall in the Tour of Flanders 2020  when colliding with a motorcycle and falling to the ground when he was in the leading group of the race.

The Tour of Flanders, which is part of the UCI World Tour calendar, was held on a distance of 342,3 kilometers between the cities of Antwerpen and Oudenaarde (Belgium)

Alaphillippe, who was leading the race alongside Mathieu van der Poel and Wout Van Aert at the time of the incident, ran out of options for victory

The world champion was taken to Ronse hospital, where X-rays showed fractures in the 2nd and 4th metacarpals of his right hand.

Finally, the victory went to Van der Poel win the sprint against the Belgian wout van aert (Jumbo-Visma)

Alaphilippe's fall led to the Remco Evenepoel reaction, who did not hide his anger through social networks

"Fucking shitty bike," wrote the Belgian Deceuninck-Quick-Step rider on a Twitter account to protest the incident.
