Egan Bernal will no longer compete in 2020

According to the newspaper cyclingnews, the Colombian Egan Bernal He is going to recover from his discomfort so he can focus on 2021.

The decision, which Cyclingnews has confirmed through various sources, has the consequence that the Colombian does not participate in the Tour of Spain (from October 20 to November 8).

Everyone was looking forward to his participation in the Vuelta after he left the Tour de France before stage 17.

The Tour, Bernal's last test of the year

The 23-year-old started the race with number 1, but struggled to keep up with the best climbers.
