The Deceuninck-Quick Step rider Bob jungels was run over by an ambulance yesterday during the 15th stage of the Tour de France

As can be seen in the video recorded by a spectator, Jungels was rolling in a group when an ambulance passed near him, hitting him and knocking him to the ground.

«An ambulance came from behind and hit me. It was bad luck. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time»Jungels commented after the stage, visibly beaten, he comments on the news website.

A bad day for Jungels as he was involved in another accident at the beginning of the stage with Sergio Higuita (EF Pro Cycling).

"I was moving to the right after an attack, I didn't see it on my right side, unfortunately," Jungels said. I must have hit his front wheel and yes I am really very sorry to hear that he is out of the race due to that accident. I do not know what to say.

Moving aside to make a cyclist come forward is something we often do. I'm very sorry that you did something wrong, it's very unfortunate "

Higuita managed to rejoin and get on the bike after the incident, but then crashed again shortly after, and was forced to abandon the race.
