Catlike  It was founded in 1996 by the ex-cyclist Pepe del Ramo, managing to reach an international level in a few years, producing more than 300.000 helmets a year.

Throughout its history Catlike has developed very good products in helmets, glasses, shoes, etc., it has even been a sponsor of the Movistar cycling team for 6 seasons.

Debts and the decrease in sales,  the cause of closure

However, the end of the company was coming, a few months ago, the production stoppage in his factory and now this sad news has been confirmed.

Catlike has filed a bankruptcy which has been accepted by the Mercantile Court Nº1 of Murcia.

As reported Iberobike, in 2015, after an increase in sales and a new commercial strategy, apparently somewhat risky, Catlike carried out a heavy investment to try to increase its production.

But strong debts incurred and decrease in sales, Added to the continued emergence of counterfeit products in China, it has only made things worse until it has to close.
