The “La Perico” cycling tour is suspended due to the coronavirus

It will be held in August 2021

One of the classics of national bicycle touring, Perico has announced that there will be no edition this 2020 by the coronavirus

After spending some time considering different possibilities to celebrate the "Pedro Delgado" Cycle Sports March 2020, its organization has decided toPLAZAR the celebration of the 27th edition in August 2021.

“The COVID-19 virus is still with us and we will not be completely safe until there is a vaccine.”

On its website it has explained the reasons in a release

“The reasons for making such a decision, we believe, are obvious and compelling, such as preserving everyone's health in the face of possible outbreaks of infections, since the COVID-19 virus is still among us and we will not have full security until there is a vaccine.

Although sanitary protocols have been established to be able to hold these tests, strict compliance with them would profoundly alter the main purpose of the "Pedro Delgado" March, which is to enjoy an authentic cycling holiday: personal challenge, lunch fraternization, massages…

And live with uncertainty if at the last minute it is suspended or not, with the damage not only to the Organization, but to many of the participants who book hotel, plane tickets or other expenses that may be incurred, we have decided that this 27th edition, postpone it to 2021.

We will keep the edition number, the honoree and the other conditions of the March for next year.

For this reason, we suggest you keep your registration under the same conditions, although if for any reason you do not want to keep it for 2021, you can request a refund of the amount by sending an email to [email protected] Before July 31, 2020, after this date, refund requests will not be accepted.

Finally, we appreciate your trust, understanding and apologize for any inconvenience that the postponement of the March may cause you.
