Pirinexus360 is born, new challenge for gravel tracks

The next 2 of May will be held in Gerona this peculiar long distance test that combines asphalt and gravel tracks.

The Pirinexus360 Challenge is a new cyclist challenge that proposes to complete almost 350 kilometers through asphalt and gravel roads in a maximum time of 20 hours. The challenge is born around the celebration of Girona Bike World, first edition of the bicycle fair to be held in the city of Gerona at the beginning of May of this year.

The Pirinexus360 Challenge is scheduled for Saturday 2 May, it is a non-competitive long distance test, brevet type, and whose main characteristic is that it is posed by isolated roads, semi-asphalted and gravel roads very little traveled by the Catalan regions of La Garrotxa, Ampurdán and Gironés. It is a circular route, with departure and arrival in Girona, which can be completed in the individual mode or by teams of three cyclists.

The test is suitable for road bikes, cyclocross, mountain bike or gravel bikes. The participants will enter the Garrotxa, overcoming the Pyrenees by the col d'Ares, returning to Catalan lands through La Junquera to reach the Mediterranean Sea at the height of Calonge. A cyclo-touristic test of completely new style designed for authentic adventurers of this sport.
