A stage of the BinckBank Tour is canceled due to the Coronavirus
The Netherlands does not allow sporting events
The pandemic that we are suffering worldwide from Covid-19 has hit cycling again, forcing the suspension of the second stage of the Binck Bank Tour, an 11 kilometer individual time trial to be held in the Netherlands.
Local authorities have sports events are prohibited against the risk of outbreaks as reported by Europsport.
Since the last Paris-Nice, where some stage had to be suspended, it had not happened again, even with the Tour de France dispute that was held normally.
Tonight the 3 Dutch towns where the BinckBankTour would start / finish have decided to not allow a cycling race on their territory.
Therefore Wednesday's time trial has been canceled. As from Thursday, the BinckBank Tour will continue on Belgian territory with a stage to Aalter. pic.twitter.com/VyahwOupq8— Benelux Tour (@BeneluxTour) September 29, 2020
