The TAS confirms the four-year sanction for the Spanish cyclist Ibai Salas

According to Eurosport, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed the sfour year old the Spanish cyclist Ibai Salas, as well as the canceling all your results since January 25, 2017 ,.

The Spanish Agency for the Protection of Health in Sport (AEPSD) had already imposed a similar sanction in October 2018 on the Chamber, although this was annulled by the Spanish Administrative Court of Sport in March 2019.

For this reason, the World Anti-Doping Agency decided to bring the case before the CAS in second instance.

“Numerous abnormalities in blood samples”

The Swiss court interprets that there were numerous abnormalities in the blood samples taken from the cyclist between January and August 2017, "indicating a high probability of doping" during the competition season, without Salas being able to prove physiological or pathological reasons to justify them.

The cyclist, who was a member of the Burgos BH, had already ended his sports career last year, following the initial decision of the AEPSD, although it was initially annulled.
