1.500 enrolled in the XXVII IRONMAN Lanzarote
2 months remaining for the closing of registrations.
The next 25 of May will compete for the event cataloged as the World's toughest IRONMAN, IRONMAN from Lanzarote, which as always will Puerto del Carmen, as the nerve center of the test.
This year that celebrates its XXVIII edition, captures the interest as always of the fans, since it is the star of the Canarian triathlon, and one of the leaders of the national and international triathlon.
Near 1.500 participants more than fifty countries have already formalized the registration, of the most diverse conditions and origins that will meet their personal challenge and will test their resistance in the IRONMAN Lanzarote considered one of the most hard of the world.
Each participant will have to swim 3,8 km, travel a demanding circuit of 180,2 km by bicycle and finish with a marathon of 42,2 km to obtain the privilege of being a finisher. The largest share corresponds to Spainfollowed by Great Britain and other Western European countries.
The test accommodates quite numerous amateurs and professionals. The first 6 finalists, both male and female in the professional category, will receive a total of 25.000 dollars in prizes. In addition, the Ironman Lanzarote offers 40 places for him Ironman World Championship from Hawaii to the participants by age groups, so it is the ideal opportunity to achieve some of these places.
It is still early to know the list of renowned triathletes that will attend this year, taking into account that some are still in the preparation and set-up period.
The registration period ends 1 in May or until the limit provided by the organization at the price of 600 euros. The record of participants is in 2.200.
