1.500 enrolled in the XXVII IRONMAN Lanzarote

2 months remaining for the closing of registrations.

Next May 25 the test cataloged as the World's toughest IRONMAN, the IRONMAN from Lanzarote, which as always will have Puerto del Carmen, as the nerve center of the test.

This year he celebrates his XXVIII edition, captures the interest as always of the fans, since it is the star test of the Canarian triathlon, and one of the forerunners of national and international triathlon.

Near 1.500 participants from more than fifty countries have already formalized the registration, of the most diverse conditions and origins that will meet their personal challenge and will test their resistance at the IRONMAN Lanzarote considered one of the most hard of the world.

Each participant will have to swim 3,8 km, travel a demanding 180,2 km circuit by bicycle and finish with a 42,2 km marathon to obtain the privilege of being a finisher. The largest share corresponds to Spain, followed by Great Britain and other western European countries.

The test accommodates quite numerous amateur participants and professionals. The first 6 finalists, both male and female, in the professional category will receive a total of 25.000 dollars in prizes. In addition, the Ironman Lanzarote offers 40 seats for the Hawaii Ironman World Championship to the participants by age groups, so it is the ideal opportunity to achieve some of these places.

It is still early to know the list of renowned triathletes who will attend this year, considering that some are still in preparation and set-up period.

The registration period ends on May 1 or until the limit set by the organization is covered at the price of 600 euros. The record of participants is 2.200.
