Galician Ivan Raña has "the best Spanish brand" in an Ironman distance triathlon
Six Spaniards have managed to lower the distance to 8 hours Ironman, Ivan Rana, Victor del Corral, Eneko Llanos , Javier Gómez Noya, Gustavo Rodríguez and Pedro Andújar.
The Galician Ivan Frog He has “the best Spanish brand” in an Ironman distance triathlon, he achieved it in 2014, in Klagenfurt (Austria) with a time of 7: 48: 43 which is placed as the 11º fastest triathlete in IM of all time at that time.
The second position is for Víctor del Corral with 7: 53: 12 achieved in the Ironman of Florida and the third place in this "unofficial" ranking would be for Javier Gómez Noya, that in his distance debut he stopped the clock in a while 7: 56: 38.
Finally we must also quote Eneko Plains, fourth Spanish triathlete and first to break the 8 hour barrier. It was in 2011 at the Ironman in Arizona and in 2019 he achieved his best time at the IRONMAN Vitoria
