Yesterday was one of the fastest tests in history in Kona

Yesterday we could see once again the show that brings us the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona.

There was a German double, with the expected victory of Jan Frodeno who has won his third world title and the spectacular comeback of Anne Haug getting his first world title.

Jan Frodeno's swimming makes him break the test record

Jan has not broken any record in the test segments this year, but with a great swim he has been able to set the IM Kona record in 7: 51: 13

Although Jan swam 22 seconds (47: 31) slower than last year (Josh Amberger 47: 39), it was faster and I cut more than 3 minutes to the time achieved by Lange in 2018.

On the bike it was about 6 minutes slower than in 2018 (Cameron Wurf 4: 09: 06) and with almost the same time as Lange.

In the marathon of 2: 42: 43, it was slower than other winners (1: 12 slower than Lange in 2018) but it earned him the victory and the test record with a final time of 7: 51: 13 .
