3.000 triathletes will participate in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship

Mooloolaba, Australia will host this Championship the next 4 in September.

 

In the line of exit we will be able to see athletes of the level of the World Champion Daniela Ryf (SUI), which will try to revalidate the title obtained last year, Header Wurtele  (DOG), Caroline Steffen (CHE), Holly Lawrence (USA) and the two-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion Mel Hauschildt (AUS).

Last year the victory went to Jan Frodeno and Daniela Ryf

In the men's category the Ironman World Champion participates in 2013 Sebastian Kienle (ALE)  Lionel Sanders (DOG), Andi Dreitz (ALE), Tim Reed (AUS) and the two-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion  Craig Alexander (AUS).

The test consists of 1,9 km of swimming on Mooloolaba beach, followed by 90 km of cycling on the "Sunshine Motorway" and 21 km of running in Mooloolaba

More than 130.000 triathletes have tried to classify themselves in Age Groups to get a Slot in the 85 tests that exist around the world of this distance.

As for the Spanish 40 triathletes will represent us in Age Groups where they stand out  María José Martínez Maroto y Silvia Noya in the 35-39 Age Group, which achieved its place at 70.3 Puerto Rico; Ingrid Arning, GG.EE. 55-59, classified in the 70.3 of Lanzarote; Isora Sosa, GG.EE. 30-34, which got its classification in Bahrain's 70.3; Marina Leboso, GG.EE. 25-29 who got his pass at the 70.3 in Florida and Rocío Chaves González, GG.EE. 30-34, who sealed his pass last May at the 70.3 in Barcelona.
