Near 1.800 enrolled in the IRONMAN Vitoria

The first edition of the test is breaking records

The next 14 of July will celebrate the first edition of the IRONMAN VitoriaWhere close to 1.800 enrolled They have already confirmed their participation in the test. Among those registered there are more than 900 Spaniards and about 40 women (161 in total), which may be the record for both the number of national athletes and women in an IRONMAN test in Spain.

With more than one decade of history in the world of triathlon, Vitoria-Gasteiz is a destination chosen by many triathletes to compete, for the environment, for the landscapes, for the culture and for how exciting it is to run through the streets of Vitoria with the public cheering at all times.

Swimming is celebrated in the lake of Ullibarri-Gamboa, the largest reservoir in Euskadi. The cyclist Segment, instead of 180 kilometers, will continue along the shore of the lake and continue through the beautiful and picturesque green landscape of the villages of Álava, while the Sierra de Elguea offers a perfect backdrop. In the race on foot, the triathletes will discover the culture and architecture of the old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz while facing the 42,2 kilometers to four laps through the heart of the city.
