In the following article in the "Special Kona 2016" we want to quote several interesting facts about the competition

- Daniela Ryf pulverized the best female brand in Kona with a 8 time: 46: 46

- Germany got the first European triplet in Hawaii thanks to Frodeno, Kienle and Lange

- Patrick Lange got to be the first triathlete to lose 2: 40 in the marathon, leaving the new record in 2: 39: 45

- For the first time in history there were two Spanish PROs finishers in Kona: Saleta Castro y Gurutze Frades

- Javi Garcia He made the great comeback of the day, after swimming, he climbed 742 positions in the cycling sector. Within his age group came the 107 from the T1 and arrived at the T2 4º. Finally he achieved the 9ª place in 40-44.
