Say goodbye to the year with a smile, the Kona Ironman UnderPants Run

Held on Thursday of the week of the Kona Ironman and has fulfilled its 21 edition

The UnderPants is a charity foot race that takes place on Thursday of the week of Kona Ironman, where the participants run in underwear, and that in the 2018 has celebrated its 21 edition

The Underpants Run, began in 1998 at the initiative of Chris Danahy, Tim Morris and Paul Huddle in protest against athletes wearing “Speedos” or competition swimsuits in inappropriate places such as shops and restaurants. And little by little it has morphed over the years into an unofficial, yet integral part of the Kona Ironman as one of the pre-race activities.

It has also helped raise more than $ 300,000 for local charities.
