There are only two days left for the most important test on the international triathlon scene, the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona (Hawaii).

Eneko that in the last days has had some discomfort in the mouth, leaves as one of the favorites to fight for the top positions. From Triathlon News we wanted to ask you how is it in view of its tenth participation in Kona.

How do you get to the test?

I arrive well, these last days I am beginning to find myself well and it seems that I am leaving behind the problems that I had in my mouth the last days, so everything in order.

Do you see yourself with options?

Of victory? Honestly right now, I do not think there are other favorites, but I come to have a good race, to be physically well and to enjoy competing. If I get all this, I'll be in good positions.

 

 

What are your goals? Any strategy? 

None in particular, depending on how the race develops will have to make decisions. The pace will be very high from the start shot, so I will do my best to get out of swimming in a good group and hold the best cyclists for as long as possible.

In the marathon depending on the forces that remain and the sensations that I have, it will be pure survival or if there are still forces to improve positions.

Who do you think the rivals are to watch?

Main favorite for my Frodeno, but looking at the list of 50 participants I would say that at least 10 have trump options and other 20 or 30 to be on the podium so it will be a very tough and disputed race and anything can happen .
